Checker Plus for Gmail


Want notification when you get new email while using Gmail? Try downloading Check Plus for Gmail from the Google Chrome Store. This great Chrome browser extension will notify you when you get a new email, by providing a little pop-out on your desktop. Features include – audio notification, archive or delete emails quickly, manage multiple Gmail accounts, & continues to run in the background even when Chrome is closed.


Desktop Notification


Did you know that if you are using the Chrome browser, there is a built-in Gmail & Calendar notifier? In your Gmail go to your Gear > Settings > General > Desktop Notifications > & check the New Mail Notifications On. For the Calendar go to your Gear > Labs > Enable Gentle Reminders. The notifiers will pop-up as long as your window is closed or minimized.


Google Notifier


This simple notification tool for Mac helps you keep up with your email & appointments. Once you login you will get two icons in your menubar – an envelope for Gmail & a calendar for Google Calendar. Click the envelope to see your new messages or to quickly compose one. By clicking on the calendar you can see upcoming events or swiftly add an event to your calendar. To get the Google Notifier, just go to the Filewave Kiosk (the two little red flags in your menubar) & download it from there.


MailTab for Gmail


From the Mac App Store, but now located to download in the Filewave Kiosk, MailTab allows you to access your Gmail account without opening your Internet browser. It looks & feel similar to the Gmail app on mobile devices, but without the access to multiple Google accounts. A little envelope will appear in your menu bar & turn red when you have a new message.
